[email protected] is located within The Parks Academy, although not linked to the school we have close links with them and the Parks Children's center as the nursery initially was set up to ensure their was suitable, high quality childcare on the estate for local families.

The nursery has been open since 2009 & is very well established within the community.

Ideal again for families living & working in the are, being close to Hall Rd makes it ideal for public transport links.

Our Parks site is open Term Time only with shorter daily opening times to our other nurseries, however school holiday places can be arranged at our nursery around the corner at Thorpes if parents need care when we are closed.

We provide 28 places for children aged 2-4 years & we collect after school from the two local schools.  The nursery is divided into 3 accessible areas & includes space for messy & creative play, imaginative play & outdoor play. Following children's interests the staff enhance the classrooms resources with natural & authentic items to spark an interest in what things can do & why & how children can explore these with 'awe & wonder'.

Kirsty Pennington - Nursery Manager

Hi, I'm Kirsty

I began working in childcare since 2012 and I have always worked at Parks. I was initially employed as bank staff before coming a permanent staff member.  During this time I have continued to develop my skills and knowledge and then after growing in confidence, became manager in 2020. I am still continuing to develop and learn new skills, as everyday is always a new day with different things happening and new things to learn.

I also undertake the role of SENCO in the nursery and really enjoy this part of my job. In involves supporting any child that may need additional help to support them during their time at nursery in relation to their learning and working with parents. I enjoy supporting families holistically with any problems that they may have and working together to find a solution to support them and their child.  It means a lot to me, when working together means this has a positive impact.

I really enjoy watching the children learn and develop new skills and gain confidence during their time at nursery, getting involved with their play and leaving nursery as messy as they are with added paint, gloop and whatever else we have been exploring at nursery.

No 'best clothes' here!    If I can help at all with any queries or questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kirsty x
